SLICKBAR™ was born from the experiences of its founder, Mr. Millard Smith. He founded SLICKBAR™ in 1960 after years of research and direct experience cleaning up oil spills. Mr. Millard Smith and his team successfully tackled oil spills in 1950s in Europe and USA. Mr. Millard Smith was known as an innovator and a creator of oil spill response equipment.
Mr. Millard Smith started his experiments in his Seymour Connecticut home. Some of the things he made himself are oil boom, oil skimmer, and temporary storage tank.
SLICKBAR™ has flourished to become a leader in handling oil spills in the oil and gas industry. SLICKBAR™ has become the trusted brand by Mobil Oil. SLICKBAR™ continued to grow in 1960’s.
