Slickdisc Oil Skimmer Features
CONSTRUCTION
SLICKDISC is constructed of reinforced fiberglass to resist corrosion which increases the life of the oil skimmer. The Skimmer Head can resist a load of more than 100 kgs. This Oil Skimmer Head is also complete with 4 lifting points to assist in lifting the equipment.
VERSATILITY
Powerpack can be independently utilized as a hydraulic power source, fire pump or powerful water transfer pump. It is easily transportable as it is mounted on a two wheeled frame and can be hand or electrically started.
LIGHTWEIGHT AND MOBILE
Total weight of SLICKDISC oil skimmer’s head is 28Kg. One person can easily move this skimmer from one place to another.
OPERATION SLICKDISC
The skimmer consists of a floating head incorporating 20 oleophilic discs which are rotated on horizontal banks by two hydraulic motors. Oil will stick on the rotating discs, be removed by the scraper, fall into an oil collection bowl and then pumped to a recovery tank. SLICKDISC is supplied as a self contained system comprising of a skimmer head, diesel hydraulic powerpack, discharge pump, suction and discharge hoses, hydraulic hoses, hose float and all necessary ancillary equipment.
PROTECTION SYSTEM
Powerpack has an automatic shut down valve and spark arrestor muffler fitted for added safety features.
CAPABILITY
SLICKDISC - Oil Skimmer will recover up to 13 tons/hour with as little as 2% free water pickup, depending on oil type, speed of disc rotation, viscosity, oil thickness and temperature. SLICKDISC scrapers are specially designed with a module system arrangement to make installation and dismantling easier. Scrapers are made of special oil resistant material which can be used in any oil type.
