It was more than fifty years ago that the first Fol-Da-Tank water storage tank was introduced to firefighters, who recognized its value and quality immediately. In fact, the quality was so good many of these original storage tank models are still on the job, performing like new.
Fol-Da-Tank storage tanks have proved to be the practical answer as an extra water supply for rural areas, where water pressure is low or as a back-up facility for municipal fire departments. It's also available for oil storage and comes in nine standard sizes.

Towable Oil & Water Bladder Tanks
The Unibag is a compact, collapsible, towable, temporary storage bladder for short-term storage and transport of recovered oil and oil emulsion. The Unibag's flexibility coupled with its lightweight allows for ease of handling, operation, storage and transportation.
The Unibag is constructed of a strong, pliable and lightweight fabric attached to a metal inherently buoyant nose cone/ towing section, which includes fittings for loading and discharging of oil.
Fabric Specification
The Unibag fabric is made from a polyester woven coated on both sides with a chlorinated cross linked ethylene interpolymer alloy commonly used for applications exposed to oils and fuels. The behavior of the coating is similar to rubber, but does not require vulcanization. The Unibag coating has good long-term properties with regards to resistance oil, seawater, most chemicals and UV-light. The Plasticisers cannot be extracted or washed out as for normal plasticised PVC/PU-coated materials. PROTEX will thus keep its mechanical and chemical properties over time. This has been confirmed during long term testing of the fabric, and accelerated ageing tests.
Capacity
The Unibag sizes offered for this requirement has an operational capacity of 5 cubic meters , which is only 60% of their maximum in water storage capacities. When used on shore, the maximum capacities are 50 cubic meters. The loading rate is 100 m 3 /h. The Unibag has operational capacities that range from 5 to 1,000 cubic meters. The Unibag inside coating is made of an interpolymer alloy commonly used for applications exposed to oils and fuels. Discharge of oil has been effected with emulsions with viscosities up to 140 000 CSt.
Buoyancy
The Unibag has a closed cell flotation system with a number of buoyancy panels installed on the inside of the Unibag, ensuring that the Unibag remains afloat in all states of operation without air filling. The Unibag is designed for cargoes up to specific gravity of 1.02
Fittings
Filling and discharge of the bag is made through the same fitting connected to the nose cone. On the 5m 3 - 20 m 3 sized Unibag, a solid flotation element with a 2,5” fill/discharge pipe encapsulated into the bag front constitutes the nose cone. The fill/discharge fitting is of Camlock type.
Strength
All materials used in the Unibag are sea water resistant. The Unibag is suitable for use with all types of oil and at all viscosities that are capable of being pumped.
The Unibag has been designed to be capable of being towed without damage when filled to full working capacity in more than four-meter significant waves at a speed of not less than 0.5 knots at all orientations to the seas.
