Near Shore Vessels

DIP 2600
The JBF DIP2600 shallow water skimmer is designed for operation in harbors, lakes, rivers, sounds, and general near shore environments. The DIP2600 boat incorporates the use of module of the JBF DIP400 Oil Skimmer into the bow of the boat. The DIP400 module is raised and lowered within a notch in the bow using a lifting frame. The DIP2600 consists of a welded aluminum hull design which maximizes the skimming performance, storage capacity, transit speed, and multi-function nature of the boat. The DIP2600, as a fully self contained system, can perform stand alone oil skimming operations by the use of bow mounted boom sweep arms, which deflect oil into the DIP oil recovery system. The DIP2600 is designed for high maneuverability in advancing skimming operations. The recovery can be further enhanced by the addition of additional sweep boom sections that are towed by support boats. Practical sweeps widths of up to 300 feet (100 meters) can be obtained.
The DIP2600 is powered by a single gas or diesel engine with a I/O drive. The DIP2600 includes a 1000 gallon (3800 liter) recovered oil storage tank with all transfer connections and pumps, enclosed pilot house, hand rails, lighting, and controls. An optional transport trailer is available, along with various equipment options required by the customer.
In addition to operation as an oil skimmer, the DIP2600 is designed for multi-function roles, including debris/trash collection, equipment/personnel transport, and boom towing. The DIP2600 can also be used for fire fighting, beach washing, emergency fuel transfer, emergency lightering, and bilge/gray water pumping.
DIP 2900
The JBF DIP2900 shallow water skimmer is designed for operation in harbors, lakes, rivers, sounds, and general near shore environments. The twin screw, DIP2900 boat incorporates the use of the JBF DIP Oil Skimmer module into the catamaran hull of the boat. The DIP Oil Skimmer module is raised and lowered in between the hulls of the catamaran hulls using a lifting frame. The DIP2900 consists of a welded aluminum catamaran hull design, which maximizes the skimming performance, wave stability, transit speed, and multi-function nature of the boat. The DIP2900, as a fully self contained system, can perform stand alone oil skimming operations by the use of bow mounted boom sweep arms, which deflect oil into the DIP oil recovery system. The DIP2900 is designed for high maneuverability in advancing skimming operations. The recovery can be further enhanced by the addition of additional sweep boom sections that are towed by support boats. Practical sweeps widths of up to 300 feet (100 meters) can be obtained.
The DIP2900 is powered by twin diesel engines with direct drive. The DIP2900 includes a 1000 gallon (3800 liter) recovered oil storage capacity, all transfer connections and pumps, enclosed pilot house, hand rails, lighting, and controls. An optional transport trailer is available, along with various equipment options required by the customer.
