Sub Sea Field Joint Repair Kit

Responding to our client’s needs, CCI has designed this replacement, hoop tension secured, adjustable length, sub sea field joint. It comprises of two conical semi rigid polymeric self supporting end seals with pre attached heavy duty gelled felt inner layer. These are pre fitted by divers at each end of the field joint bearing against the concrete weight coat followed by a Retrowrap HD dual diameter outer jacket pre shaped to follow the exact contours of the end seals, factory pipe coating and pipe and weld OD.

During installation, the hoop tension within the fabric acts upon the highly hydrophobic gel which displaces all water to insure an anaerobic state is maintained throughout the length of the field joint.

Vapor phase corrosion inhibitors incorporated within the gel provide additional long term performance integrity. Closure is achieved via thermally formed flanges pre drilled to accept Inconnell 625 permanent bolt sets.

Other design variations are available to suit every field joint configuration. All units are cold applied and DO NOT require shot blast substrate preparation.
